{"id":812,"date":"2012-01-07T10:06:00","date_gmt":"2012-01-07T09:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blackadderhall.com\/?p=812"},"modified":"2012-01-07T10:06:00","modified_gmt":"2012-01-07T09:06:00","slug":"blackadder-duo-curtis-and-ben-elton-reunite-to-write-new-material","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.blackadderhall.com\/?p=812","title":{"rendered":"Blackadder duo Curtis and Elton reunite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After more than 10 years since they last collaborated on Blackadder Back &#038; Forth, Richard Curtis and Ben Elton are writing new material together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve just started working on a new project with Richard,\u201d Elton explained at the first night of Cirque du Soleil\u2019s Totem at the Royal Albert Hall. \u201cIt\u2019s been a long time since we worked together so it is fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Curtis, who went on to write and direct, is, however, unlikely to be creating another series of Blackadder with Elton.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is so lovely that everyone wants it back that it\u2019s almost a shame to do it and ruin that,\u201d says Elton. \u201cThe new stuff will be original, but I can\u2019t reveal anymore than that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; end<\/p>\n<p>I originally saw this story on the telegraph, but they incorrectly stated that it had been over 20 years since they had worked together.
